Untarnished Love

The purest of loves

Is untarnished by people
Been holding me close

For years it has grown
So deep within it branches

A softness, a peace
Its safety has provided

It is mine alone
Impossible to deny
Cannot replicate

Falling back on it
This love shall always protect

Aching Heart

Unexpected blow
Heart aches deep within the chest
Sudden pain seeps through

From a past mistake
An injury bleeds and bleeds
The chocking pain lives

A crippling fear
Causes error in judgement
Thus the heart suffers

A stabbing regret
Inflicting such misery
Hurting all alone

A faltering trust
In such a weakening self
This horror unleashed

B's Poetry Challenge #27

Small, almost dismissible

Has a hollow heart

Craving a true love

One to fill her heart with joy

Left empty no more

This tiny creature

Still retains minimal hope

But shall it remain?

FearFear is a warning

A signal to stop and think

Reassess your life

A strong stabbing pain

Ordering intervention

Growing over time

A paralysing feeling

Hiding true meaning

Trusting your instinct

Will kill the horror within

Prisoner released
